It was worth its 3 stars. A handy base for exploring Chelmsford. We really enjoyed the convenience of the king room, as well as an individual safe, a writing desk and a radio etc...

Nothing beats being in Lion. A kitchen was an added bonus. Besides, it has free Wi Fi in the rooms. Plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like Farefresh that was only 5 minutes' walk away.
The street was noisy.
